Neo grew up watching her grandmother sew clothes and make dolls — the spark that inspired her love for creating. After studying Textile Design, she took a waitressing job when work was hard to find, and a moment of curiosity changed everything: she began upcycling discarded boxes into stylish storage pieces. From that, MoodCraft was born.
As her brand grew, Neo invested in her first industrial sewing machine and expanded into garment making. Today, she’s returned to one of her biggest joys — designing and hand-crafting our toys and African animal cushions using recycled African fabrics.
We’re proud to support her creativity and her journey.

THE BIG FIVE
Handmade finger puppets from Botswana
At 87, Granny Judith spends her days surrounded by wool, knitting needles and soft rhythm of creativity on her farm just outside Maun. A lifelong knitter and teacher, she has turned her love for the craft into a joyful art form - bringing Africa's most iconic animals to life, one stitch at a time.
Each finger puppet is lovingly handmade from her original patterns, transforming leftover wool into charming characters from the bush- the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and the leopard.
These delightful little creatures carry with them Judith's warmth, imagination, and decades of craftmanship- a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and the timeless magic of Handmade work.
